Waste management of electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) concern, since the publication of Royal Decree 208/2005 of 25 February on electrical and waste management, to the manufacturers of those who are responsible for their proper management. Therefore, the major manufacturer brands are associated in non-profit entities to provide distribution channels and municipalities with proper management of waste.

These (WEEE) may have hazardous components as gases CFC's which damage the ozone layer, cathode ray tubes, copper, heavy metals, etc., which makes them hazardous waste and therefore are subject to a very strict law for proper management and transportation.
